Course Overview
This essential training program is designed for individuals who are required to work at heights in various industries including construction, maintenance, mining, and more. The course focuses on imparting practical skills and knowledge necessary for safely performing work activities where there is a risk of falling from a height. Participants will learn to identify safe work practices, understand the relevant legislative requirements, and implement fall prevention techniques to minimise risks associated with height work.
Throughout the course, students will engage with theoretical components that cover the principles of height safety, including understanding the dynamics of falls and the consequences of poor height safety practices. Additionally, practical sessions will provide hands-on experience in using personal protective equipment (PPE), setting up fall protection systems, and performing risk assessments for work at height activities.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to plan and prepare for working at heights, conduct risk assessments, select and use appropriate fall prevention and arrest systems, and understand the procedures for responding to potential incidents. This course is ideal for those new to working at heights as well as experienced workers looking to refresh their knowledge and skills.
