UETTDREL14A - Working Safely Near Live Electrical Apparatus As A Non-Electrical Worker

UNIT Information:

This Standard unit covers compliance with working safely up to the defined "safe approach distance" near energised electrical apparatus (Inc. electrical powerlines) for non-electrical workers and supports the attainment of skills and knowledge required to operate or observe the operation of cranes, plant, hand held tools in the vicinity of live overhead power lines and associated electrical apparatus in accordance with the current Code of Practice "Work Near Overhead Power Lines". 

All PPE Requirements and training specifics will be outlined in an email to the participant upon booking confirmation.

The language, literary and numeracy requirements for this course ranges from AQF level 2 to AQF level 3.

UETTDRRF06 - Perform Rescue From Live LV Panel

This Competency Standard Unit covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place.

Training specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a live LV panel and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution or rail work functions. It encompasses responsibilities for, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

HLTAID001 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation


This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
