Construct And Install Water Distribution Assets


This course will equip you with the skills required to construct and install water distribution assets.

This applies to those working as field and operational staff with responsibility for ensuring that water distribution assets are constructed and installed in a safe and timely manner.

The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to, particularly those related to manufacturer specifications, environmental requirements, WHS, construction and disinfection.

Those undertaking this course would work independently or in a team using own familiar resources as required, while performing routine tasks in range of familiar contexts, ensuring minimum damage to the environment.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication.


Pre-requisities & Course Requirements:

  • NWPNET020 Control Electrical Risk on Metallic Pipes
  • Third Party workplace assessment to be completed
  • Photo ID must be presented ie current driving licence or passport
  • Basic English language and literacy skills
  • All participants are required to wear full PPE
